The Local Transition Facilitation Lead will play a pivotal role in the facilitation, planning and development of the Local Clinical Research Network (LCRN), by representing the NIHR CRN transition programme in the local area.

The post holder will be required to lead and facilitate the transition planning work in the area, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are involved as appropriate, in line with nationally determined processes. Liaison with local trusts and employers will be required and in particular close working with the LCRN host when identified. It is intended that the postholder will also be responsible for initiating the business planning process for 2014/15 pending the appointment of the local Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This position will require an experienced leader who has strong business, management and organisational skills. An understanding of the issues associated with organisational transition and transfer of employment regulations is required and previous experience of leading organisational change would be desirable.

Knowledge of clinical research networks is essential.

Regular travel to London and/or Leeds may be expected.

This part time post is available as a secondment from 01 July 2013 – 31 March 2014.
